Sōna Buzzword:

The LASER....

The term Laser is an acronym for Light Amplification by Simulated Emission of Radiation.

This device is used in various fields such as science for its well-defined wavelength or short pulse duration, in medicine for internal surgery and cosmetic applications, by the military and law enforcement for target identification and in manufacturing for cutting steel and other metals. Common applications are extensive and include things like bar code readers, laser pointers, CD players, laser printers, etc.

A typical laser device produces light of a single color or wavelength. Here at Sōna, the laser produces pulses of high-energy light that is taken up by the desired target. For example, when used to remove unwanted hair, the target is the melanin pigment contained within the hair shaft.

The advanced laser technology at Sōna is what sets us apart. All of our lasers are FDA-approved, and all are individually adjustable. This is important because it means that we do not simply provide the same treatment to each client; we adjust the laser’s intensity and duration to your skin and hair color. Each laser is specialized for certain applications.

By utilizing a number of the industry’s most advanced lasers, we are able to safely treat skin types that would not have qualified for laser hair removal even a few years ago.

That is why we are the industry leader in laser hair removal.
