Sona MedSpa Chooses National Headquarters and Expands
Ballantyne and Lake Norman Facilities

Charlotte, January 7, 2008: Sona MedSpa announces the opening of their new National Headquarters for February of 2008 at Providence Executive Park. (10710 Sikes Place, Suite 120; Charlotte, NC 28277). The National Headquarters move to Charlotte was originally announced in October of 2007 when local Sona MedSpa Franchisees, Joe Pitt and Byron Ashbridge, purchased the parent company Sona MedSpa International. Charlotte-based private equity firm Carousel Capital holds a minority interest in the company.

Sona MedSpa is one of the largest medical skin-care companies in the nation, with locations throughout the country. Byron Ashbridge is President/Co-Ceo and Joe Pitt serves as Chairman/Co-CEO for the company.

In conjunction with the opening of the new headquarters Ashbridge and Pitt are expanding two of their full service med-spas located in Charlotte. Both their South Charlotte/Ballantyne location and their Huntersville/Lake Norman location are expanding by two to three rooms each. “This expansion will allow us to provide our customers with a wider array of treatment services in our most popular full service centers,” commented Ashbridge. The expansion was also part of the addition of a new service called LipoTherapy. LipoTherapy is the companies’ new service targeting fat and cellulite reduction.
