Myth: Your skin pores open and close.

Skin pores are the openings of hair follicles, oil glands, and sweat glands. These tiny skin openings allow sebum to flow to the surface to keep skin supple. They provide a way for the oil glands underneath to lubricate and protect the surface of your skin. They do not however open and close like doors.
