Lipotherapy vs. Liposuction

What are the differences between Lipotherapy and Liposuction?

Lipotherapy	Conventional Liposuction
Non-invasive. Very safe. No surgery. No general anesthetic used.	Invasive. Surgery risk. General anesthetic risk.
Minimal discomfort, swelling, and bruising. Very minimal, pinpoint bleeding.	Considerable bruising. Risk of internal and/or excessive bleeding.
No down time. Rapid return (same day, or at the very worst, next day) to work and normal activities.	Procedure results in down time, requiring time off work. Recovery time is usually weeks.
Minimal discomfort during and after procedure. A numbing gel can be applied prior to treatment to further minimize minor discomfort of micro-injections.	Significant discomfort. Prescription narcotics typically required after procedure to control pain.

The anesthesia fees range from approximately $500 to $1,000, depending on the number of areas treated. The facility fees also vary depending on the number of areas where liposuction is performed, ranging from $600 to $1,200. The rest of the cost is the surgeon's fee.
