GENERAL SUMMARY: The RN/LPN is critical component of the Sona MedSpa team. The main responsibility of the nursing staff is to perform treatments outlined by Sona MedSpa.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

All treatments being conducted in a Sona MedSpa location are performed by licensed medical professionals. There is continuous interaction between each member of the staff with each client of the center. The experience each and every client has within a Sona MedSpa center is a reflection of the atmosphere created by not only the physical surroundings of the center but the courteous and professional attitudes of the center staff.
RN’s/LPN’s report directly to the Center Manager; however, all medical aspects are under the supervision of the Medical Director. The RN’s/LPN’s are responsible for all medical aspects of the Sona Medspa location and should maintain accurate and thorough client records. Be sure to complete each client record at the time of treatment to avoid any errors.
All RN’s/LPN’s will be required to meet with the Medical Director on a weekly basis. At this time, all questions on specific client files and other concerns from the previous week should be addressed. Questions of an urgent nature should be addressed immediately and should not wait for the weekly meeting. Please relay all important issues to the Center Manager immediately; the Center Manager will then contact the Medical Director. The Center Manager should be the only person to contact the Medical Director unless otherwise instructed by Management.
QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS:

• Licensed RN or LPN in applicable state

• Minimum of two years nursing experience, preferably in a medical office

• 20/20 Vision or corrected to 20/20

• Demonstrated manual dexterity

• Experience in management of other nurses helpful (Head Nurse only position)

• Ability to work Saturdays and/or evenings

DUTIES:

• Reporting problems and/or concerns to the Medical Director and Center Manager

• Supervising Nurses

• Promotion of additional services and soliciting referrals

• Maintaining a safe and sanitary treatment room

• Stocking the prep and treatment rooms with clean towels and maintaining the laundry

• Operating the laser and administering the laser hair removal and skin rejuvenation treatments

• Conducting client follow-up

• Assuring the laser utilization and client laser procedure record keeping is current and accurate

• Available for consultation to Center Manager and Nurses by phone or pager during all hours of center operation

• Available after normal hours of operation by pager or cell phone should the need arise to discuss a client concern

ADDITIONAL DUTIES – HEAD NURSE:

• Meet with Nursing staff on a monthly basis to address concerns if needed

• Observe the Nursing staff on the performance of all treatments and provide further instruction or guidance as needed

• Preparation of a written report which will be reviewed by the Center Manager and Medical Director

• Ability to assist in the training of additional nurses and assistants.

Education and/or Experience:

• Degree in applicable field

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

• Demonstrated manual dexterity

• Experience in management of other nurses helpful (Head Nurse only position)
