The Zeno, a small handheld device for the treatment of acne; this device is sold under medical supervision directly to consumers for at home use. Zeno delivers of a thermal dose of 121oF heat for 2.5 min 2-3 times a day directly to a blemish. This application of moderate heat is effective in reducing p. acnes bacteria in preclinical studies. The results have shown that both the median time to improvement and resolution for a blemish have been cut in half. The results have also shown that this treatment is not only effective, but safe as well for patients that experience mild to moderate acne. Zeno is safe for all skin types.
